Hi, I’m Sarah. A California girl transplanted to Indiana, where I’ve been surprised to learn that something within me loves real seasons. I’m married to Chris, mom to three girls, and a Catholic convert. Just now when no one reads blogs anymore, I finally made one. Does that make it cool? Glimpses of Joy comes from two different quotes, one by an author I love that I found in a book he didn’t write, and one I found on a bookmark my husband lent me. I’m figuring out how to be a stay at home mom in my late-twenties, and how to be me. I enjoy reading, writing, running, swimming, good one-on-one conversations, seeing movies by myself, black tea with milk, and warm socks. Introverted and 9 on the enneagram, motherhood has been a journey of pulling me out of myself (oh, the days of 12 hours of sleep) and constantly peeling the onion that is my selfishness. I’m hoping this blog can be a space where my interests and my current SAHM life coalesce (i.e. posts on diapers and posts on spiritual reading) and that just slowing down to write will be a good practice.
My deepest vocation is to be a witness to the glimpses of God that I am allowed to catch.
